The hospitality industry has been developing rapidly and at times of modern technologies and fresh designs the place for classics still exists. This can be easily felt at one of the icons of the hotel business in the capital of Finland at Hotel Kämp.
The Open Doors event as part of the hotel’s 130th anniversary took place on the 1st of November. The doors opened for the public at 14:00 with the excursion through the Mannerheim Suite with the employees of the hotel as the tour guides telling the story of the place.
In one of the rooms guests had a chance to go back in time and see Carl Gustaf Mannerheim, of course, played by a professional actor.
The excursion continued into the Mirror Room, which is a really nice place for weddings and cultural events with live music. On that day a professional musician was performing charming melodies for public with just her cello. Guests were allowed to explore the hotel premises within public area and enjoy the spacious lobby.
As a nice surprise, the General Manager of the Hotel Kämp was greeting guests at the entrance and on the floors, trying to be very active. Definitely, it was a good chance for visitors to get to know the personnel of the hotel and get a glimpse of one of the leading hotels in Finland (Hotel Kämp is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World).
