We are already familiar with Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam – Schiphol hotel in the area of the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport since our previous inspection made in 2012; so we decided to see what has changed for that time.

It is quite noticeable that Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam – Schiphol hotel has been renovated, which is a good thing. The overall design has been kept unchanged, unlike a few features. The external design has remained the same.
Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam – Schiphol hotel is one of those hotels covered by a free shuttle from the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Upon arrival you can get free water with lemon at the desk, which could be good refreshment after a long day.
The walls on the floors contain a big picture of an airplane, quite symbolic. The contrast of the dark blue and white colours creates comfort. The standard room was nice; it contained all the required amenities.
Since the hotel does not have its own restaurant, it is always possible and even advised (if needed) to enjoy a meal at the neighbouring Crowne Plaza hotel or to order food via express delivery catalogue.
The location is good since it is quite close to the airport and the train station Hoofddorp. You can easily get there by car. Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam – Schiphol has all the features of the airport hotel, for instance, screens with the schedule and all the information. Personnel were very friendly, professional, and quite open towards customers.
As for breakfast, it is included in price and takes place in the breakfast area. The choice is really good for an express hotel and includes vegetarian and vegan options. The breakfast area is not too wide, so it might get a little crowded if there are too many people at the same time. Otherwise, everything was good.
My overall impression was positive; I found it convenient for business or leisure trips for a reasonable price with all the necessary for this level of a hotel amenities. I would definitely recommend Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam – Schiphol Hotel to travellers.
