26th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (Mitt) was organized on 12-14 March, 2019 at Expocentre. 7 of January 2020 is the day when the first Courtyard by Marriott hotel was opened in Finland, i.e. in the town of Tampere. Notably, Marriott has not had much presence in Finland until now, mainly having members of Design Hotels and Tribute Portfolio hotel in its Finnish portfolio. TOHOLOGY visited grand opening of the Courtyard by Marriott Tampere City and prepared an overview.
The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) announces the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) as the association’s first Destination partner in Europe. Destination partnerships are one of ICCA’s most exclusive opportunities for ICCA members. Türkiye will benefit from strategic development initiatives aimed at raising the country’s profile within the association meetings industry. It will also gain enhanced visibility in the ICCA community. The one-year partnership indicates ICCA’s endorsement of Türkiye as a premier business event destination for Europe and the global industry.
The history of this truly mysterious place dates back to the foundation of Saint Petersburg. Once the first renovation stage was finally over, the New Holland’s park zone welcomed first guests in August 2016, while from then onwards the island will remain accessible the whole year round.
Three global associations serving the International Meetings Industry will collaborate more closely in the future: UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry), ICCA (The International Congress and Convention Association), and AIPC (The International Association of Convention Centres) agreed to launch a Global Alliance.
