Hampton by Hilton Saint Petersburg ExpoForum hotel: first glance from the inside
Hampton by Hilton Saint Petersburg ExpoForum hotel: first glance from the inside
Nikolay Hotelier, 30 June 2016

Together with the Tourism and Hospitality Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, we took part in an excursion to the new Hampton by Hilton Saint Petersburg ExpoForum hotel, which began to receive tourists from 23 June this year. We also once again explored the halls of the ExpoForum Convention & Exhibition Centre, which includes this hotel.

As we already wrote in our first story about the Hampton by Hilton Saint Petersburg ExpoForum, the hotel corresponds to a 3-star category offering their guests 207 rooms.

The building of the hotel is not connected by a single passage with the pavilions of the “ExpoForum”, therefore, to get to the event in the convention and exhibition centre, you will still have to walk a couple of minutes. However, the second St. Petersburg hotel by Hilton Worldwide – Hilton Saint Petersburg ExpoForum, which is being prepared for opening at the end of the year, will have an indoor passage, which, for sure, will be appreciated by the delegates of the events.

The Hampton by Hilton Saint Petersburg ExpoForum has convenient road access from both sides of the building and, accordingly, there are two entrances to the hotel. If you are planning to arrive by car outside the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, you can park your car without problems in the parking lot at the hotel.

The lobby of the hotel is decorated with a moderately bright palette of colours, and the design of furniture is unlikely to become outdated in the near future - stylish with no unnecessary piles. The reception is combined with a small shop where you can buy snacks and have a light meal 24/7.

The hotel has two conference rooms: in each room, you can hold an event for a maximum of 50 people. In addition, a 24-hour fitness area is available.

For obvious reasons, the hotel does not have a dozen different room categories. Hampton by Hilton is, first of all, about a set of basic services for a reasonable amount of money. Each room has a flat-screen TV, one large or two twin beds, tea and coffee making facilities, a pen and a notebook. Breakfast and internet access are always included in the price.

The safe is right beside the bed, which is an interesting solution. It’s the first time I have encountered such a solution, but it is probably convenient, I just need to test it.

The rooms windows have two main views: to the gallery of the ExpoForum or to the St. Petersburg Highway.

Several photos of the “ExpoForum”, the scale is amazing:

It takes at least one night spent in the hotel to make the final verdict on the new player in the hotel market of St. Petersburg.
