Future of travel with ride hailing services: Volvo Cars and Uber present production vehicle ready for self-driving

Volvo Cars and ride-hailing firm Uber have presented a jointly developed production car capable of driving by itself. The Volvo XC90 SUV is the first production car that in combination with Uber’s self-driving system is capable of fully driving itself. The car is drive-ready production vehicle.

Unusual hotels: InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland inside abandoned quarry (China)

IHG has announced the opening of InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, the hotel built into the side wall of a formerly abandoned quarry in Southwestern Shanghai. This new hotel is mostly subterranean, with two floors above ground and 16 below ground, including 2 floors underwater.

Qatar among top 10 world’s most open visa countries

The World Tourism Organization recently updated its visa openness rankings, confirming Qatar’s new visa facilitation improvements including allowing nationals of 88 countries to enter Qatar visa-free and free-of-charge. Qatar has become the most open country in the Middle East and the 8th most open in the world in terms of visa facilitation.
